From Coratx\u00e0 take the PR-CV-75.8 towards the hermitage of San Crist\u00f3bal, go past La cruz del Rallo (Rallo cross) and\u00a0 walk along the crest of the ridge of Sierra de la Cruz (Cruz mountain range) to\u00a0 arrive at the beautiful chapel. From there, you will have a magnificent view of the Tinen\u00e7a and part of Aragon. Continue the journey down the same path to go through Mas del Vilalta and then down to Barranco Fondo (ravine). Cross the track walking along the PR in search of Pino de las\u00a0 Rodantxas (the fallen pine tree). After this tree continue on the PR path, which is a steep climb up to Castell de Cabres<\/p>\n

Leave Castell de Cabres going down the PR-CV-75.13 trail, cross the road and go over the Artiga plain, then go through Enebro de Marc until you reach the GR7. From here, go down past Mas Roig and to Mas de Prades, where you turn left following the path in search of Mas de las Pruneres, going past the tile factory and Roble de la Teuleria.<\/p>\n

After leaving Mas de las Pruneres and Maset de Julio (farmhouses), join the PR-CV-75.13 again, taking a right turn going steeply upwards to Sierra de la Cruz. Then, go down to Mas de la Borja (farmhouse) passing near Pi Gros (the great black pine tree). Once at the farmhouse go down to Barranco de Borja (Borja ravine) and through Estrechos de la Borja (Borja straits). Here, carry on going down to Vallibona road, which you leave behind immediately to get to Bel. Following the path through Cueva del Gabaig (Gabaig cave) and Mas de Mariner (Mariner farmhouse) you get to a trail going directly to Bel. Here you can rest in the peaceful village streets, reflecting with satisfaction on your journey from Castell de Cabres.<\/p>\n

Bel(951m)-Pobla de Benifass\u00e0(690m): 7kms, 122m+<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a short but beautiful walk with views of La Puebla and Ballestar. Leave Bel going along the PR-CV-75.5 towards Sierra de la Cruz, passing through Ombries del Pregunt\u00f3. Afterwards, as you reach Moll\u00f3 los Tres Termes, join the PR-CV-75.13 in Coll del Xumador. Follow this trail for a while, going downhill to join the PR-CV-75.5 leading directly to the village of Pobla de Benifass\u00e0: the finishing point of this route, where you can relax and have something to eat.<\/p>\n
Pobla de Benifass\u00e0(690m)-Ballestar(709m): 7.6kms, 496m+<\/span><\/p>\n

Another short section, but do not be fooled, it is almost 600m long. Once you have rested from the previous stages you have to gather strength as there is still more than half of the route left with the longest sections to come. Leave La Pobla towards Mas de Insa, where you complete the steepest climb of this stage. Once there, take the track on the left towards Mas del Esquetxe and shortly after passing it, below Loma del Pastor, take the trail to the left. It soon becomes a lovely downhill path taking you straight to Ballestar (the finishing point of the stage). A visit to the village of El Ballestar, located at the top of the hill, will take you back to the times when life was real struggle for survival.<\/p>\n

Ballestar(709m)-Fredes(1093m): 18,9kms, 1224m+<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the most important stage, but shortest route of the journey. Leave El Ballestar towards the Dam in Ulldecona. Follow the PR-CV-75.2.3m to Forn de Vidre. Here, before crossing the ravine, continue along the path that starts at the edge of the fence and runs along the right side of the reservoir. This path leads you to El Molino del Abad 2. Leave this behind and look for the trail that starts on the right after the bridge over the reservoir. Keep going along this trail for 3 km and then take the Portell de l’Infern path, the PR-CV-75.1, at Mas de Juan to reach Portell de l’Infern. Here you can enjoy some magnificent views. A few metres after El Portell, follow the trail downhill for a few minutes to reach Barranco del Salt. Join the PR-CV-75.2 and turn left to find Salt de Robert (waterfall). If you are lucky and the river is full, you will hear lots of water falling from a short distance. When you get to Salt you will be amazed by this 30 metres high waterfall. After you have put your cameras away, there is only a short distance to the pretty village of Fredes. This is the end of this long stage which will leave you feeling exhilarated.<\/p>\n

Fredes(1093m)-Boixar(1089m): 9kms, 350m+<\/span><\/p>\n

\nNow there are only a few kilometres left to finish the circle, but beforehand you must complete the final stretch, which is the 7 Pueblos de la Tinen\u00e7a. Leave Fredes along GR7 towards Boixar, go past the Mas de la Faixa (farmhouse) and reach Mas del Hostalet. You will be able to see El Boixar, but before reaching it, turn right down the track for a few metres to the crossroads on the left of the PR-CV-75.12. There is a steep climb up to the Tossal Gros, a great viewpoint over the lands of El Boixar. From there go on to the intersection with PR-CV-75.11, this trail takes you to the beautiful village of El Boixar. You will probably feel quite sad to have reached your journey\u2019s end, the end of a wonderful adventure!<\/p>\n

Path 2: Els 7 Pobles + magic peaks<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Ballestar(709m)-Fredes(1093m): 25,15kms, 1472m+<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe longest and toughest stage in the entire route is ahead of you. Leave El Ballestar along PR-CV-75.3.2 towards the Dam in Ulldecona. A few kilometres past Canalet Fountain, take the path up to Galins and leading back to the Sierra de la Cruz between Mola de los Teixets and Mola Tancada. Once at the top, go to Moleta del Terme, the point where Rossell, Puebla and Bel meet. Leave this behind and walk to La Moleta del Ferro passing by the iron mines, where a long time ago iron was mined for sale. After this, the trail descends to the reservoir, and leads straight to Molino del Abad, where you can stop and rest whilst enjoying the beautiful landscape.
\nAfter resting, take the track on the right after the bridge. Continue for 3 km until you reach PR-CV-75.1: the path which takes you to Portell de l’Infern and meets Mas de Juan.<\/p>\n
There is a steep climb to reach the top of Portell de l’Infern where the views are outstanding.<\/p>\n
Now it is time to go down. Leave El portell and take the path on the right to Barranco del Salt to join the PR-CV-75.2. Here on the left, go up slightly again to the edge of the magnificent Salt de Robert: a 30 metres high waterfall. Here gather strength as there is a tough climb up to the village of Fredes.<\/p>\n

Fredes(1093m)-Boixar(1089m): 22,15kms, 747m+<\/span><\/p>\n

Once in Fredes, and having regained strength, it is time to take the GR7 towards Pinar Pla. After passing Pinar Pla, go left to find Mas del Ric in the middle of the plain, and from there you will see the top of Tossal de los Tres Reyes at a height of 1,356 metres. Climb to the top and enjoy the breathtaking views of all the passes, of Valencia, Aragon and Tarragona, as this peak joins the three regions. Now you can put your camera away and walk the last part of the route, by going to Tossal d’en Canad\u00e9 at a height of 1,393 metres. To reach it go past Mas de la Fontsanta and there, descend the ravine of the same name to get to Mas Blanc. From there, you will see the top of Tossal, where by climbing up again you will enjoy the amazing views and all of Tinen\u00e7a just below.<\/p>\n
Now you can see your final destination, El Boixar, but first you have to go to El Tossal Gros at a height of 1,272 metres. To get there go down El Tossal d’en Canad\u00e9 along the same path we previously took to reach the trail that goes from Mas d’en blanc to Mas d\u00b4en Roda. Go on to Barranco de la Canal and continue up until you join the PR-CV-75.12 on the right, where you make a last effort to reach the top of Tossal. The route is nearly finished, but go on for a few metres along the same PR to meet the PR-CV-75.11 trail, which takes you left to El Boixar, the end of the route!<\/p>\n
